Calendar
The calendar design is a bauhaus-inspired study. Bauhaus refers to the German art
school that operated between 1919 to 1933. The main influences behind The Bauhaus
were modernism, the English Arts and Crafts Movement, and Constructivism.
Using the larger-size triangular shape, days
of the month are highlighted. These specific days represent events that are taking place. The entire month is visually illustrated using triangles, typography, and two colors.
Observation:
The triangle is a polygon with three edges
and three vertices. It is one of the basic
shapes in geometry.
Because the triangle is made up of three vertices, it makes for a very active element. This results in restricting the design to two colors. The finished poster applies colors that ground the elements while complementing their energy.
